Hey, I have a question, in the clothing rules on the site, it states no barefeet but have some type of shoes, but, are socks okay?

It's to fit my cosplay, but I'm not sure of socks count as a type of footwear

If the socks have some kind of solid/hard bottom then they will be fine, but I'm fairly sure that the University rule means that you have to have foot wear that would at least potentially prevent your foot from being injured by something on the ground. If you don't have socks with hard bottoms then I would recommend wearing flip flops or something easy to take off, that way for photos you can slip them off easily but your feet will still be protected. Thanks for double checking with us ^-^

I think socks as well as footwear both are necessary for the protection of your foot, so wear both.

I have a question about past cons and the cosplays there, are most the cosplays good or are there alot of cheaply made cosplays, because me and my friends are professional cosplayers and we want to see some good cosplays when we come to Animarathon.

When working as security for Cosplay I've seen many beautifully made Cosplay that most likely took a lot of work to make.

I have a question: I'm a girl, and am cosplaying a male character with a coat open. No shirt underneath. The sides of my chest will be covered so that the middle shows. My friend has made a binder for the costume and I'll be putting it on in the bathroom at con. Is it alright to wear?

Your costume must cover the swimsuit area, so no that's not really appropriate for this con. If by binder you mean you will wrap in bandages all the way up that's fine. If not, I would suggest wearing a nude-colored shirt.

Here's a photo of somone cosplaying the outfit I want to do: http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_mc78rvvxzH1rztdgoo1_500.jpg If I bind by chest (Bottom of collar to top of my ribs) with a bandage while wearing the coat, would that be alright?

That should be fine. However, if I were you, I'd bring the shirt just in case.

For my cosplay, the robed figure from Journey, I was planning on taking the bottoms of flip flops, or sandals of some kind, and attaching them to the inside of my morphsuit-esque outfit that is going to be underneath. Would this pass the "No bare feet" rule? I'm gonna have socks and the padding from the flip flop bottoms. Think of the ninja sandals in a sense... I guess you could say.

Hmmmmmm if it's on the inside, you'll probably be asked to prove that you're wearing your half-shoes. As long as you can prove that you should be fine I think.

It will be obvious im sure. I'll probably also put some kind of padding on the bottom so I dont get my morphsuit dirty/ripped on the feet.
